Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to create custom invitations?
A custom suite typically takes 4-6 weeks to be completed, so please keep that in mind.

How many invites should I order?
I always recommend ordering just a few more suites than you think you'll need. It's always better to have too many than to place a last-minute print order when Grandma comes back with just three more guests for your list.

When should I order invitations?
Wedding invitations should be mailed out to your guests 6-8 weeks before the wedding (10-12 weeks for a destination wedding) and the design process takes around 6 weeks, so please keep that in mind! I take on a limited number of custom invitation projects each year so if you feel that Lulu's is the right fit for you, contact me ASAP so that we can get your name down on my design calendar!

Is there a minimum order?

What if I need to rush my order?
If my schedule permits, I am happy to rush your order! Rushed orders require me to work well past my business hours and cut into precious time with my family, so there is a rush fee. Rush fees are 20% of the project total.

Do you ship internationally?
Of course! Shipping costs will be noted on your proposal.

Do you offer payment plans?
Generally, I require a 50% deposit upfront, with the remaining 50% due when the project is complete and before I send over your final products. Please let me know if this will not work for you and I am happy to arrange a payment plan that will better suit your needs. However, no products will be released to you until the final payment is made.

Do I need to supply my own envelopes or will you supply them?
Either way! If you choose to supply your own envelopes, I will need an additional 10-20% to account for human error, so please keep that in mind when ordering them.

Can I use one of your previous designs for my wedding invitations?
The beauty of custom invitations is that every suite is one of a kind. I will gladly use any designs that you love as inspiration when creating your suite, but I do not reuse designs.
